About the company and its needs
Construtora Barbosa Mello is an infrastructure giant that provides practical engineering and construction solutions, with 63 years of history. Its development projects are spread across Brazil in areas such as road systems, electric power, sanitation, water resources and dams, industry, oil and gas, and social infrastructure.
For a little over two years, the company has been working to innovate and automate its processes. Much was still done on paper and in manual systems. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the need for automation became even more evident, as the scenario required greater care and less contact between team members, in addition to office staff moving to remote work.
The partnership between Construtora and Monditech
This partnership started in March 2020 and arose from Barbosa Mello's need to have professionals with strong custom-development knowledge for business process management tools, such as Sydle One, embedded in their team.
Importance of the partnership during the pandemic
A key point highlighted by Bruno is that this partnership was very relevant during the pandemic period and increased health precautions worldwide. Some processes would have been almost impossible to execute if they had not been automated while office teams were working remotely.

The supplier onboarding process is a step forward in the automation of Barbosa Mello's processes. Its goals are to reduce registration time and expand the supplier base, creating a better mapped market.
As a large construction company, Barbosa Mello depends daily on supplier quotations and procurement. To speed this up, the portal was created as an external module to Sydle One, integrated with internal company processes. Its importance today is increasing supplier acquisition funnel and improving communication with new partners. Since the beginning, Monditech and Barbosa Mello have worked together to improve this workflow.

Process automation
Processes such as "Materials and Services Request" and "Invoice Entry" were fully manual, paper-heavy and performed at construction sites. They began to be automated this year, and gains in logistics and productivity are already visible.
